So, as far as I'm concerned, I would prefer to play in a no-rebuy tournament.  My feeling is that it makes the tournament more straightforward and forces players to be more disicplined and temper their aggressiveness.

The Eagles here in Portland have two tournaments a week, with a $40 buy-in that is no rebuys on Tuesdays and a $20 buy-in with unlimited re-buys for the first three levels (1 hour) on Thursdays.  The Tuesday is more "normal" and the Thursday is a real free-for-all with tournament pots sometimes three times that of the other, even with about the same number of people.

As a middle ground, there is a Saturday tournament up in La Center with a $50 buy-in, two $50 re-buys allowed through the third level, and a $50 add-on at the end of that round.

How do other players feel about re-buy tournaments?

To me it is just apples and oranges, or just another modifier to the tournament that you need to figure out to succeed. I admit I did not like rebuy tournaments at all until I figured them out to some degree. I have managed to make some final tables in the most insane rebuy tournaments of all, online with 2000+ entrants and 10.00 or less buy ins.

They are simple to play for the first hour, find a hand you like, something like pocket tens or better, then push. Some one will call, likely three or four people will call, then sit and wait for the rebuys to end before you resume a normal game again. If you do not take a pot, you just rebuy. BTW how you been CC?
