  • Re: Nuts flush draw. Check, call or raise ?

Assuming this hand to be in a bubble, and you don't care about setting up future plays or table image, I raise that flop all the time. You're close to a 40% chance to win the whole pot, so every extra bet 4 people can put in on the flop is in your favor in the long-run. Playa makes a good point...

  • I hate dropping the best hand....

5-10 on Pacific. I limp into a 5- or 6-handed flop with from the SB. Flop comes . I bet, 2 callers. Turn comes . I bet, raise, raise.... These games on Pacific are usually loose, but it's not common to see a 3-bet without a real hand. I didn't really suspect him for K-Q (smooth calling the flop...

Pretty good stuff here guys. (The rest of this post has been either omitted or severely edited) WOW, I started to write a seemingly smooth flowing post about how I mostly agree, but then disagree with this and that, but then I went back and reread all your posts and realized how I am just way too hammered...

[quote="Calm Dragon"] 88 and lower are tough to hold. I may be in for a bet or two, to see if they will set up by the turn. I stayed in with a 44 last Sunday only because the board was no more than two of any suit, and none consecutive in rank. Turn was checked 'round. River gave me a set...

  • new record - 3 players go on tilt after this hand!!

The other night I was playing some 3-6 waiting for a satellite to fill up. I had been there about 45 minutes and was +60 already. Family pots are a wonderful thing. Onward, poker soldiers. I'm in the BB and I am dealt EP player, I'll call him the table pro, raises to $6. Table pro was young,...

  • Re: Hand simulation: 88 in MP....

I don't think so, sometimes short handed games can be a lot more aggressive and people cap it 'just for fun'. You might have been behind to maybe one person, but with 3 players, and aggressive action, you probably have implied odds to flop your set. Plus, if the board comes all small cards...

  • Re: Loose Low Limit Game

Dustin, If you are first who acts on any post-flop betting round the move you make is a BET not a RAISE. So reading previous post I have to guess what really happen since you write about lot of raises with no single bet. Also when you said "one person called actually reraised" - what does it...

  • Re: Low limit Hold Em, raising AK, AQ, AJ from BB

Yes on all of them, yes yes and yes. The more limpers the better if they are suited because big suited cards play well multihanded. With high cards you also want to get your money in before the flop because a] you probably have the best hand b] high cards make the most money on preflop and on the flop...
