• Re: I hate dropping the best hand....

Yes, I would call it. Many players overbet their hands and second high 2 pairs on non highly coordinated board imho deserve to be played. Three recent pots as illustration: $5/$10 Hold'em - Friday, July 08, 20:15:09 EDT 2005 Table Table 11367 (6 max) (Real Money) Seat 2 is the button Total number...

  • Kids, don't try this at home.

2 hands that show the excellent abilities of yours truly. I humbly submit the following: 10-20 live I'm dealt and make a friendly wage UTG+2, 1 caller, folds and BB calls. Flop I lead out, fold and 1 call. Heads up on the turn. I bet, get raised and reraise. Flat call. Ok, he's got A, Q. River...

  • Re: Set on 4-flush board.
I don't think it was definitive that they were colluding until one of them folded on the river. Might MP1 raise with just the 10c? Who knows. Probably not. But definitive? When the river plays out it is clear. With the hindsight of what happened on the river, I think your...
Agree with Kram. Play it out and report it. BTW, did either apparently colluding player end up folding? Thanks, Charlie
Kings folded, Irrelevant card hit the river and MP3 won it by single bet without showdown. I do not see any sense reporting it - they will not give...

  • Re: Set on 4-flush board.

OK, let me continue the story. Hero called and UTG+1 called too. Now MP1 raised and MP2 three bet. Here the point of the story is: it looks like MP1 has Ace of clubs while MP2 has T9c in assumption that both players are reasonable ones. So it looks like kings should be folded. However I see alternate...

  • Re: Set on 4-flush board.

Maybe raise???? Two may drop without clubs leaving you heads up with the original better, who you hope was bluffing. Would he drop? Doubtful, but if he was bluffing, your kings might now be good. Regardless, you still get your odds for the river and now you are adding a chance to win. Hmmm... OK, I change...

  • Re: new record - 3 players go on tilt after this hand!!

In an ironic twist of events, I was playing some 6-12 and got called all the way after I flopped a King to my wired kings against pocket Aces and a Q,J calling all the way. The play of the hand was much different as the chaser was calling 3 bets and had to hit runner, runner. Some days you are the big...
i have laid down queens in that kind of situation. Well not exactly, I was in LP, and had nothing committed, and was sure it was one had kings and one aces.
Wow! You can lay down some big hands. I am not half that good to be able to lay down Q's in limit holdem'...

  • Re: I got made fun of... what do you think?

I'd be upset with those Kings also - but he should be more upset at himself for capping the river. He's a fish himself. I rarely chase gutshots, as 4 outters rarely come... also what if you're raised on the flop by the button?
