• Black jack + 3card

Played this interesting BJ variation in Tunica the other week. You play shoe balck jack, and have an optional side bet. Your two up cards, plus the dealer's up card forms to make a three card poker hand. If you have a viable three card poker hand, three of a kind, straight, flush, or straight flush...
What would you suggest.... it's worth 5$ from the SB in those LV games, or just fold for FIVE dollars more??? It's gonna save me in the long run.... right?
Guess what Kram...it depends. Heh. Conditions would have to be absolutely perfect for you to get away with...

    I would also never play these hands here: 25, 26, 36, 37, 47, 48, 58, 59, 69, T2, T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, J2, J3, J4, J5, J6, J7, Q2, Q3, Q4, Q5, Q6, Q7, Q8 and likely also others. I don't like the fact of playing any suited hand too. Suited hands only have a 3% advantage over unsuited hands... to me...

Pretty good stuff here guys. (The rest of this post has been either omitted or severely edited) WOW, I started to write a seemingly smooth flowing post about how I mostly agree, but then disagree with this and that, but then I went back and reread all your posts and realized how I am just way too hammered...

  • Re: Medium PP in LP

So much depends on the limit and if you have any info on the player raising. If I'm grinding low limit, playing 4 tables of 2-4 or 3-6, and against one raiser that I don't know to be particularly fishy or surprisingly decent, I will usually put in a 3rd bet with JJ and TT; 99 88 and 77 I'll...

He was getting odds to Call the Flop and especially the Turn. But Raising was just insane.

  • Re: Golden Opportunity

This is the only discussion I found on this new table game, so I'll join in. I discovered the game just this past weekend in Borgata, Atlantic City, and I like it a lot. It does seem like a beatable game. I won consistently over 4 sessions, and I'd like to think it wasn't just a continuous...

  • Re: Set on 4-flush board.

Pure probability says that: There is a 25% chance that none of your three opponents have a club. There is a 56% chance that none of them have a club larger than a 6. However: I agree that since there was so much flop betting, them having a big club is much more likely. But, the two checks make me think...

  • Re: odds of open-ended straight improving

That is the most messed up, convoluted way of calculating those odds I have ever seen. It might be right, but what a waste. Not a great advertisement. EDIT - Removed bad language

  • Re: Set on 4-flush board.

That chance of 4 people being in a pot and not a single one having a club is very unlikely. Especially since there were multiple bets preflop, someone likely has a big club. Although a raise might get the person holding a smaller club to fold and if the bettor was bluffing than you win... but I find...
