• Re: 15/30$ LIMIT, 10$ SB forced to call?
Suited hands only have a 3% advantage over unsuited hands... to me that is a big money waster playing any suited hand.
I don't think that's a good way to look at it. In NL situations where two hands are all-in preflop, then the suited hand has only an added...

  • Re: Nuts flush draw. Check, call or raise ?

disagree with bhiatt... He says its likely everyone else will check behind you in fear of the flush... its better to bet out and people with two pair or a set will call because they have outs. This is kind of contradictory. If someone has two pair or a set, they are not going to check because a 3rd suit...

  • Re: Nuts flush draw. Check, call or raise ?

In the second situation, if the flush card hits the turn and you check with the hopes of a CR, it's likely everyone else will check behind you in fear of the flush, costing you one or more bets. You might as well bet the turn. Someone (or more than one) will call, particularly those with outs against...

  • Flush Chasers - Funny Hand

Rather interesting hand, something I don't think I have ever seen before. This is in a 15/30 ring game. I was dealt UTG and raise to $30. The guy behind me calls, someone behind him calls, the button calls, both blinds call. 6 players seeing the flop. The flop is Checked to me, I bet, called by all...
  • Re: Kids, don't try this at home.

I don't think the raise is that bad if you know no one will reraise and both will call. With a passive loose game that is almost a given. Why, because you have 14 outs that you are confident are good. That is over 30% (14/46) chance of winning. At 33% the EV is zero on the extra money you are throwing...

  • Re: Kids, don't try this at home.

Actually, there were 2 reasons for my play in the 2nd hand. First, the player was a total fish. Don't know if I could explain it but I knew I had him if a heart came and considering my added outs by hitting a pair I had 15 cards that would help me on the river. This is a tricky hand to explain because...

Hand 2: A loose passive 6-12 live game. BB, I'm dealt :4h: :7h: 1 raise and 4 callers. Ok, I'll see it. 6 to see flop. Flop :5h: :th: :as: Hmmmm, lots of math fills my head. 1 bet and a raise. I call and there are 4 left. Turn :7c: Ok, I have more outs. 1 bet, 1 call, 1 fold and I find myself...

  • Re: Set on 4-flush board.

Seed, you only have 20 seconds. Make up your mind, or as Mom always says, sh**t or get off the pot! Besides, check isn't available. Want to Poll the Audiance or Call a Friend? My feel on this is I'm beat but if one of my 10 outs hits there's a big payday waiting. Not very mathmatical, I know...
