I would much rather limp with JQs. You want a lot of callers with JQs, you don't want to limit the field, you should be trying to attract as many players as possible, because this is a hand with high implied odds. Same thing with small-medium pocket pairs... you either want 0 or 1 player in the pot...

Limping in with TT and higher from EP, especially in short-handed game is a sin. Poker god do not usually forgive that. The best way to lose a big pocket pair is to slowplay it.
