Fish, the palace is in Hayward, technically the bay area. If you are looking for a nice atmosphere with nice soft games in the bay area, check out Garden City in Saratoga. Very nice place, they spread all the poker games you can think, and the asian carnival games to play while you wait.

  • Black jack + 3card

Played this interesting BJ variation in Tunica the other week. You play shoe balck jack, and have an optional side bet. Your two up cards, plus the dealer's up card forms to make a three card poker hand. If you have a viable three card poker hand, three of a kind, straight, flush, or straight flush...

Advantages of live poker: -Better ability to read opponents and pick up tells, obviously. Even in a 3-6 limit game, you quickly get an idea after sitting down who is the table maniac, rock, clueless fish, etc., and can adjust your game accordingly. -Social aspects of the game (very underrated). -Collecting...

Boy, does that suck. My condolences. You shouldn't feel stupid--just regret, of course, for the lost pot. It's never happened to me, but I have heard many stories like yours, invariably from the player who had the best hand, realized it after sweating out a scary board, and excitedly fired down...

  • Re: Nuts flush draw. Check, call or raise ?

If you are holding a pair of sevens, you can not flop a straight. However, if you mean the board reads 6-10 for a straight (negating your trips) then you and your opponent each have a straight. This is a split pot. Tell your friend that a poker hand is made out of 5 cards only. On the other hand...

I am new to poker. My question is I'm holding a pair of seven. They flop a straight 6,7,8,9,10. My friend is holding a 4 and K. He is claiming he won the hand is this true?

  • Re: CRAPS

LOL, I actually played some craps last saturday night when he was at the table at the Golden Nugget downtown. He cashed out about $15K that night. Of course, i felt bad cause at one point he lost about $2K because I rolled a six on the comeout roll and threw a 7 right after he laid down money all across...
