  • Re: Medium PP in LP

So much depends on the limit and if you have any info on the player raising. If I'm grinding low limit, playing 4 tables of 2-4 or 3-6, and against one raiser that I don't know to be particularly fishy or surprisingly decent, I will usually put in a 3rd bet with JJ and TT; 99 88 and 77 I'll...

  • Nuts!

What are the odds? $.50/$1. Limit hold'em on UB In SB, I get Four players call pre-flop, I call, BB checks. Flop is . SB (me) bets, BB calls, MP raises, it is called around. No one folds. Turn is . Ummm, no flush possible, no pair on the board, higher straight not possible, hey, I have the nut straight...
  • Re: 4-th raise

Don't take my answer as any kind of expertise, but rather as this is what I do and why. Other, more experienced, please chip in your comments. I call the re-raise unless they start a raising war, then I get out. After the flop, if I believe they don't have the cards, I will bet or raise. If they...

  • Re: Did I Play Smart Or Scared

Due to his pre-flop raise from the BB, you could have put him on Aces. So a re-raise here wouldn't be so bad... but it IS the river and you don't want to pay 3 bets JUST IN CASE he raised from the blind with QQ, JJ or AK of diamonds. The play was fine, don't get greedy.

  • New To The Clan/Did I play this right?

Thought I would post to say Hi to all and introduce myself and ask a question about my play. Playing 5/10 at the local casino. 7 handed and I am on the button with everyone limped in before me so I bump it up... 5 callers. Flop comes So I am sitting well here. UTG bets 4s calls and I re-raise and the...

  • Re: You hit a flush on turn.

You have to bet!!! Make sure there is money in the pot. The bonus would be to get a raise from the original raiser. Now if the other player calls 2 bets I would re-raise, If he folds I would just call and hope to check raise on the river knowing that the only way the original raiser can win is to bet...

  • Re: small pairs for implied odds

"hold 7-7 and there is a raise and a re-raise" ;) Andrew I think you know the answer to this one bro! Shouldn't even be a thought IMO- straight into the muck pile. What could these two players possibly have? Unless, of course, it's been 3 bet on numerous occasions with people protecting...

  • small pairs for implied odds

Is it a profitable play in limit games to play the small pairs solely for the purpose of looking for your set on the flop? Suppose you hold 7-7 and there is a raise and a re-raise or a call or two in front of you, and your 7's almost certainly aren't good (or at the least will rarely hold up...
  • Re: Early position 6 handed and you hold a high wired pair QQ+... do you ever attempt a slow play?

"LP Queens are always ladies). I never get excited when I get them." What if you happen to get two 10's? LOL Uncle said: "Love QQ, I'm all-in unless there's an ultra-aggressive you know will re-raise you behind you, then limp out a raise and put him all-in after his re-raise...
