  • Re: Medium PP in LP

Pretty good stuff here guys. (The rest of this post has been either omitted or severely edited) WOW, I started to write a seemingly smooth flowing post about how I mostly agree, but then disagree with this and that, but then I went back and reread all your posts and realized how I am just way too hammered...

  • Re: Kids, don't try this at home.

I don't think the raise is that bad if you know no one will reraise and both will call. With a passive loose game that is almost a given. Why, because you have 14 outs that you are confident are good. That is over 30% (14/46) chance of winning. At 33% the EV is zero on the extra money you are throwing...

Hand 2: A loose passive 6-12 live game. BB, I'm dealt :4h: :7h: 1 raise and 4 callers. Ok, I'll see it. 6 to see flop. Flop :5h: :th: :as: Hmmmm, lots of math fills my head. 1 bet and a raise. I call and there are 4 left. Turn :7c: Ok, I have more outs. 1 bet, 1 call, 1 fold and I find myself...

  • Kids, don't try this at home.

2 hands that show the excellent abilities of yours truly. I humbly submit the following: 10-20 live I'm dealt and make a friendly wage UTG+2, 1 caller, folds and BB calls. Flop I lead out, fold and 1 call. Heads up on the turn. I bet, get raised and reraise. Flat call. Ok, he's got A, Q. River...

  • Re: starting stacks, again... sorry!

ok then, here is a new question based on Polynomial's posting... she mentioned have at least 24 big blinds, or 12 big bets going into the game. but how often do you really end up capping it on every round of betting? I very rarely end up capping it for a few reasons.. 1. I raise, and opponent either...

  • how to raise tight players...avoiding folds?

Hey All- please share your infinite wisdom on a particular play i made... I was playing an extremely tight group (well, they were at first). and they were folding all the time. Anyhow, i'm dealt: Flop comes: . Thing is, we had a bunch limp in, i think there were 6 or 7 of us, nobody raised ,(i probably...

  • Re: Lesson Learned

Couple of years ago I played $20/40 in Taj. There was a guy on the table - I will call him SOB all below. That's three pots he played. 1. SOB raised from MP. All table folded except old man on BB who called. Does not matter what the flop was, SOB bet it, keep betting on the turn and on the river...

  • Re: Loose Low Limit Game

Dustin, If you are first who acts on any post-flop betting round the move you make is a BET not a RAISE. So reading previous post I have to guess what really happen since you write about lot of raises with no single bet. Also when you said "one person called actually reraised" - what does it...

  • Re: Should I fold it ?

You should have mucked on the flop. The turn is a call, the river is one raise and a call to any reraise. Although you should not of been ther for the turn. It is a real marginal call with that flop in anything but a head up hand, and even head up unless you know your player well you should muck it....

  • Should I fold it ?

Please play this hand with me. $10/20 HE, 6 handed, UTG folds, I'm next with and raise, calling station on the button calls, SB (good and tricky player) calls, and BB (total idiot) calls too. 4 of us see the flop SB checks, BB bets to me. That's what I wanted, he bet anything so I raise trying...
