• Re: Nuts flush draw. Check, call or raise ?

I guess it depends on your feel for the table. If UTG is fairly aggressive post-flop, and you're sure he's betting the turn even with the third heart out there, then you should set up the CR, especially since you are in perfect position to trap any bettors caught in between. I agree that a set...

  • Re: Live game and online poker.. Which one is better?

I've played at the Bay 101 a few times, and more at the Palace in Hayward. The 101 is a very nice room, swarming with sharks, lol. The list is sometimes huge, gotta get there early. It moves pretty well, though, lots of tables. Some guys sign on, and have dinner while they wait. Some guys take a...

  • Re: Funny game last night...

Hi, Amy. I almost always win at the 3-6 game, not much, but, I win. I think $180 is the most I've cashed, but, I don't tend to play long. I've been mulling this over in my mind, constantly. Should I raise and cap every preflop hand I'm going to play, and make the 9-5s pay to beat me,...

  • Re: Hand simulation: 88 in MP....
I think implied odds here would be good enough to call as long as you were receiving 5 to 1 odds (this is a Slkansky quote). The reason is because althought you are 7.5 to 1 to flop this set, you are a big favorite and will get paid off handsomely when you do. I would also think...

  • 4-th raise

Here is the tipical situation: You are on the button, everyone folds to you and you raise blinds with some legitimate hand - AT,AJ,AQ or AK. SB 3 bets trying to isolate you and BB calls. Do you guys put 4-th raise or just call ? Until recent time I mostly just called. However in this case I often found...
  • Re: Leading out UTG?

wrong, you should never do anything like that. Raise only your bigger hands from first position because you are out of position and you dont know what the action bhind you will look like. Holdem is all about position and you dont have it so dont go crazy with crap hands.

  • Re: Is this cheating?
Using information available to all players is not cheating.
I think it is unclear whether or not the information is available to all the players. Certain seats provide better opportunities to see the cards while the dealer shuffles. Also...a person without quick...

  • Re: Folding small pairs in the long run...

Hell yes it is wrong! Why because I will not be able to beat you, and that is wrong, very wrong!
maybe this is to fast, but i like to limp early and raise middle to late position. of course this all changes with the type of game your playing. if the action is slow with...

maybe this is to fast, but i like to limp early and raise middle to late position. of course this all changes with the type of game your playing. if the action is slow with only 2 or 3 people seeing a flop then i like to raise from any position and get the action down to 2 players or even heads up. after...
