If you are holding a pair of sevens, you can not flop a straight. However, if you mean the board reads 6-10 for a straight (negating your trips) then you and your opponent each have a straight. This is a split pot. Tell your friend that a poker hand is made out of 5 cards only. On the other hand...

I would most likely just call instead of raise. By raising you aren't going to get a free card on the turn if it doesn't hit as easily because there are so many players. But more so, by just calling, if it does hit, you are hoping the same player bets because then you can get callers in between...

LOL, I actually played some craps last saturday night when he was at the table at the Golden Nugget downtown. He cashed out about $15K that night. 88 and lower are tough to hold. I may be in for a bet or two, to see if they will set up by the turn. I stayed in with a 44 last Sunday only because the board was no more than two of any suit, and none consecutive in rank. Turn was checked 'round. River gave me a set, and I took it from two non-raising...
