• Re: Live game and online poker.. Which one is better?

Advantages of live poker: -Better ability to read opponents and pick up tells, obviously. Even in a 3-6 limit game, you quickly get an idea after sitting down who is the table maniac, rock, clueless fish, etc., and can adjust your game accordingly. -Social aspects of the game (very underrated). -Collecting...

  • Re: Playing the cards or players?

You put this under the limit section on purpose? Because it's much easier to play 'your cards' in limit rather then NLHE... In NLHE more so then Limit I play the player, of course.... that's poker. It's a combination of both- but definately more player dependant. It's so much...

  • Re: Losing at online low limit
There is not a doubt in my mind, the guy does NOT or CAN NOT play 3-6 online for a living. It isn't possible. People lie, especially about money and how much they make. Either that, or the guy plays for a living and lives in a van down by the river.
Well, depends...

  • Re: Seat taking

    1. I take table #3, I want to see large pots, that shows me that there is action at that table and if I don't have action, I get bored. 2. I want seat #2 to leave. I don't like calling stations that are loose and passive, as they tend to hit their hands, I prefer playing with the other guys there...

  • Seat taking

Here is the micro-quiz. Not sure if absolutely correct answer exists regarding all points but would appreciate to read thru people opinions. 1. You are going to start $10/20 limit HE session. There are three tables and each has one seat vacant. You do not know anyone on either table. However table #1...
  • Re: Nuts straight on turn.

I say "IT DEPENDS." In low limit hold em I would agree with you and raise every time. No use being sneaky here, especially because your call-reraise (you would reraise, right?) might make even the sleepiest fish take notice that you have a hand, whereas your raise just looks like standard ram...

  • Re: 6 handed, SB, all fold to you, ever just call?

    1. The hand is not playable unless you can raise and there are not many hands I would raise in that position. 2. Yes all the time, of course if I have a big hand I raise. I love the free flop, they are rarely limping with big hands to trap, almost any flop checked to you can be bet and won. Raising with...

  • Re: What is the proper bankroll size for limit games?

I think if you are going to play full time and depend on wins to eat you need to be hyper conservative with your BR. 600 BB is low for that. You need to decide on the limit that you need to play to make ends meet, then never play higher unless you have a BR of 800-1000 BB for that limit. You can lower...
