HE For Advanced Players is THE definitive Limit Hold'Em book. If you ever want to move up from small stakes I suggest you read all the material you can get. Most concepts are universal to all forms of poker. Honestly I don't rate these Low Limit books. Why learn to beat low limit when you can...

Well the internet connection is back at my lunch time break spot so I've been playing a little over my breaks again. Nuts!

What are the odds? $.50/$1. Limit hold'em on UB In SB, I get Four players call pre-flop, I call, BB checks. Flop is . SB (me) bets, BB calls, MP raises, it is called around. No one folds. Turn is . Ummm, no flush possible, no pair on the board, higher straight not possible, hey, I have the nut straight...

jim mcmanus' final calldown against ellix powers in the final of the limit hold'em event during the wsop last year had to be one of the worst calls if not the worst call made in bigtime poker on television... does anyone remember the hand? it was funny... i have it on tape... should i refresh...

If you ask me, you played it correctly. If these guys can't take beats like this, they should not be playing poker, especially limit Hold'em. The fact that you just called, rather than raised with the cards on the board should have told him you were on the draw. When the 10 hit on the river,...

starting stacks, again... sorry!

I know i vaguely brought this up before and you all answered it very well in the no limit section, but i'd like to get opinions on what people sit with at limit tables. Tanya had suggested to me $100 for the $3/6. I've found that works well. I actually perfer $115 or $120, i think it's mental...
