    You have to raise here, and what really are the chances of the board being 4 different suit... very un-likely. By the time you hit the turn, the board normally has AT LEAST 2 of the same suit. Your goal is for players to make mistakes (call with hands that have a smaller chance of winning than the pot odds). If you think just in terms of that, then their statement may be abstract, but...
