  • Re: 15/30$ LIMIT, 10$ SB forced to call?

    I would also never play these hands here: 25, 26, 36, 37, 47, 48, 58, 59, 69, T2, T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, J2, J3, J4, J5, J6, J7, Q2, Q3, Q4, Q5, Q6, Q7, Q8 and likely also others. I don't like the fact of playing any suited hand too. Suited hands only have a 3% advantage over unsuited hands... to me...

  • Some fun hands!

Well the internet connection is back at my lunch time break spot so I've been playing a little over my breaks again. Downside is some personal circumstances resulted in me withdrawing about as much of my BR as I could. It left me with about $19 and some change on one site. Well I played a $5/$1 yesterday...
  • Hand simulation: 88 in MP....

6 handed 5/10$ limit game MP in (3rd position) and UTG limps - 2nd pos. folds, I RAISE WITH ! folded to button who makes it THREE - BB flat calls and the UTG LIMPER makes it FOUR TO GO so it's another two small bets to me. I FOLD thinking the flop will just come over cards or I'm behind to the...

  • Re: 4-th raise

If this is limit...I cap it. I am on the button, I have POSITION. If the flop doesn't hit me, but I have overcards, I can call the 1 bet, possibly 2 bets, by the time it gets to me. If the flop does hit me, I can raise their bets... It's aggressive...and in limit, I am.

  • Re: Loose Low Limit Game

Thanks for the response PP, and Dustin "No one is scared of a check" Wow youve opened my eyes to a whole new world of strategy! I definitly need to loosen up pre flop though I lost a rack in 1 hour yesterday, not being able to clear the field with my high pairs and losing to 2 pair or someone...

  • I had never played limit before...

My only experience to this point had been No Limit Tournaments. My wife wanted to go to a boat and play. (Not too many choices here in IN) The blinds were 2/4 The betting structure was 4/8 It only took 1 hand to realize these players were HORRIBLE! You could not drive out ANY bad hands because you could...
  • Re: Playing Ax short handed

[quote="Pokerplaya"] yes they are likely to chase either way, but one way they may be getting poor odds to chase, and by raising and making the pot bigger preflop, they may be getting correct odds to chase. You would rather have someone chase without proper pot odds. I am not sure why I find...

  • Losing at online low limit

Hi, I'm new to the forum and just looking for some general advice/suggestions. I've been playing low limit online for less than a year ($.25/$1 and $1/$2). I've read several books, I'm knowledgable in math, I'm very patient but don't mind being aggressive when called for. I understand...

  • Marginal hands on the button, more or less reason to limp?

Ok- just re-reading over super system limit section, Doyle talks about limping in when he can with marginal hands LP with 8-9o, 6-8s, 10-7s... etc. I tend to muck these hands(when I'm playing my tight game), even in LP BUT I play 6 handed. He's always talking about 10 handed games where he's...

  • Re: 6 handed, SB, all fold to you, ever just call?

    1. The hand is not playable unless you can raise and there are not many hands I would raise in that position. 2. Yes all the time, of course if I have a big hand I raise. I love the free flop, they are rarely limping with big hands to trap, almost any flop checked to you can be bet and won. Raising with...
