I agree with that, Seed. You should avoid raising 44 preflop here. Your hand isn't that strong against multiple callers, and a raise isn't gonna limit the field much as a few players have already limped. Limp with your 44 and either flop a set or get out. Also, if you hold 44 in EP or MP folding...

Some fun hands!

Well the internet connection is back at my lunch time break spot so I've been playing a little over my breaks again. Downside is some personal circumstances resulted in me withdrawing about as much of my BR as I could. It left me with about $19 and some change on one site. Well I played a $5/$1 yesterday...

If this is limit...I cap it. I am on the button, I have POSITION. If the flop doesn't hit me, but I have overcards, I can call the 1 bet, possibly 2 bets, by the time it gets to me. If the flop does hit me, I can raise their bets... It's aggressive...and in limit, I am.

Oh hell no check raise them weak players till the turn red and go home broke. You asked live straddle? A straddle is the worst bet you can make at a poker table, with very little exception. Well, as I understand it... Like you said, a raise preflop may give them correct odds to call on the flop. Your goal is for players to make mistakes (call with hands that have a smaller chance of winning than the pot odds). If you think just in terms of that, then their statement may be abstract, but...

The best opponent ever...

I was playin $100 max buy-in no limit last night and won the most money I ever have in a single sitting.
