  • Re: 15/30$ LIMIT, 10$ SB forced to call?

I play 15/30 on party a lot where there is also 10 and 15 blinds. I still fold my small blind pretty often, especially if there are a bunch of players in. If there is only 1 limper or 2 maybe, and I have somewhat mediocre cards then I may limp... otherwise I fold. I have seen this to be a long-term loser...

  • Re: I hate dropping the best hand....

Yes, I would call it. Many players overbet their hands and second high 2 pairs on non highly coordinated board imho deserve to be played. Three recent pots as illustration: $5/$10 Hold'em - Friday, July 08, 20:15:09 EDT 2005 Table Table 11367 (6 max) (Real Money) Seat 2 is the button Total number...

  • Medium PP in LP

I wanted to bring up the topic of playing medium pocket pairs in late position. By medium I am referring to 88, 99, TT, maybe 77 or JJ. From what I see of a lot online is this: A player raises from some position in front of the player with the pair. The player with the pair will 3 bet his medium (or...
  • Some fun hands!

Well the internet connection is back at my lunch time break spot so I've been playing a little over my breaks again. Downside is some personal circumstances resulted in me withdrawing about as much of my BR as I could. It left me with about $19 and some change on one site. Well I played a $5/$1 yesterday...

  • Re: Playing Ax short handed

[2] Well...I was going to go back to this thread this a.m. and expound on my answers, but now I see it more difficult than I had thought. The best I can say is that..IN GENERAL this is what I would do in this situation,6 handed, against the players I normally face. 6 handed is a different beast altogether...

  • Re: Jacks down in MP make it three to go or call two?

You are right here for the most part, in a small blind game I would still raise. (Like my local game of 1-5 with a 1 dollar blind). With a big blind(2/4 with a 1/2 blind) game I might not. [quote="PokerPlaya"] I disagree with your last sentence Jon. I like to limp with Jacks in LP with many...

[quote=" :violent-smiley-035: Kram"] Ok, you said NEVER CALL when the blinds are large at the final table. Yes- I understand that you don't want to give them a shot at your pot or a free flop. But you also sat at that table all night waiting for a hand like this, I don't want to sound...

Ok, you said NEVER CALL when the blinds are large at the final table. Yes- I understand that you don't want to give them a shot at your pot or a free flop. But you also sat at that table all night waiting for a hand like this, I don't want to sound greedy but are you TRULY happy with JUST THE...

  • Re: Bad Bluff?

[quote="PokerPimp_916"] What's up guys. Gotta question to see if I made a good read or just got lucky against a bad player. Playing in a $20 buy-in NL tourney at Partypoker and it's down to me and another guy. He's up by about 600-800 chips. Blinds are 250/500 and I'm in the...
