  • Re: I hate dropping the best hand....

Ya you might be right, the game was loose enough where I might have been better off playing the absolute value of my hand. I think I overthought it. As far as your first example goes.... it's quite different than my hand, imo. First of all it's 6 handed. There's a decent range of hands someone...

  • Re: Getting killed on Paradise Poker ...

LMAO! Wow Kram! Does PokerPlaya have you pegged or what? In regards to not being able to beat the low limit tables at Paradise I suggest you try a different site and see if your success/failure is any different. Paradise is a more mature site and the games might be just a tad tougher. The players might...

  • Re: Loose Low Limit Game

[quote="Mully"] (I see how this would be the strategy in a no limit game , But I dont see how I could make this work in the limit games I play in, Where bluffing is not really an option due to the multi pots and if I was making a play on someone they arent paying enough attention to notice...

  • Loose Low Limit Game

Just looking for some opinions I am a low limit player, 4-8 to 5-10 . Anyway the games I play in tend to be filled with timid loose players, Theres always two at the table that will call any ace or medium pair to the river. They just started spreading poker at the casino here and EVERYONE wants in.(...

  • Re: Playing the cards or players?

There is a tell online which I always pay attention on - this is a pause which players take before making their move. In lot of cases I correctly put player on draw, high pair, medium pair, bluff or check/raise preparation based on the pause they take prior to the move. For example if I bet some average...

  • Re: Feeler bets... example...

So the 'right' move here would be to fold? He's representing top pair, or better with his raise betting for value. Though, he could have raised with 8s and is now raising to protect his hand from the turn....while finding out where I am in the hand. He could be holding 10-Qs and is semi bluffing...

  • How to play an extremely loose/inexperienced low limit game?

My neighborhood college type bar has a small cardroom in the back that for years never had more than an afternoon game of pan. But with the recent boom in poker, they now have a couple of full 3-6 hold 'em tables most nights. The two times I've played there before it was friday or saturday and...
  • Re: Bad Bluff?

[quote="PokerPimp_916"] What's up guys. Gotta question to see if I made a good read or just got lucky against a bad player. Playing in a $20 buy-in NL tourney at Partypoker and it's down to me and another guy. He's up by about 600-800 chips. Blinds are 250/500 and I'm in the...

  • Re: My Monster Bluff CALLED!

Thanks to all of you for your advice. I am beginning to see the error of my ways. In March, I’m going give the Super Sattelites at Foxwoods for the $2500 buy-in NL Tournament (New England Poker Classic) a chance. The way I look at it is that poor bluff was a $2500 lesson in poker. Time will tell if it...
