• Re: Kids, don't try this at home.

Actually, there were 2 reasons for my play in the 2nd hand. First, the player was a total fish. Don't know if I could explain it but I knew I had him if a heart came and considering my added outs by hitting a pair I had 15 cards that would help me on the river. This is a tricky hand to explain because...

  • May anybody play it different ?

I will describe the absolutely unique hand here, I would say the hand where my judgement turn to be totally wrong, just wondering if any of you guys would think differently. $15/30 6-handed on Party. 5 from average to good players and one fish on two spots at my right. I am on BB with . UTG raises, next...
  • Re: Limit - VRS - No Limit

Yes, tight is right in NLHE. But you can't just play AA,KK and expect to win. You have to size up your opponents and play accordingly. The uberaggressive fish play any crud and usually one or two get lucky and stack up early. Its best to play tight, but then try and isolate them and play heads up...

I play very tight early and usually don't play unless I have AA KK or AK. Big cards or pairs in LP with a limper or two I might play. I like having...

  • Is this POker?

Woo-Hoo, it is Mardi Gras down in cajun country! Come on down. Have a BUD LIGHT on me. Well, not on me unless your kink bends in that direction. Anyway, step right through this door to the poker. All kinks shall be given proper consideration later. So....I'm working the graveyard shift at work which...
Finally my aces hold up!!! ON A HUGE POT- YEEESH three fullhouses and a HIGH flush!!!! Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooop
It is amazing how far behind you where on the flop and turn. I might of considered that since I did not have the ace of diamonds in my hand, and was...

  • Re: Hand at the card club

Unfortunately, this is one of those hands where you catch a piece of the flop but can never feel comfortable playing the hand. Once you call the 2 bets on the turn you can't lay the hand down because of the odds you are getting from the pot to call the river. It only cost you one bet on the river...
