  • Re: Nuts flush draw. Check, call or raise ?

I guess it depends on your feel for the table. If UTG is fairly aggressive post-flop, and you're sure he's betting the turn even with the third heart out there, then you should set up the CR, especially since you are in perfect position to trap any bettors caught in between. I agree that a set...

  • Some lessons are cheap.......

some not so cheap, and you pay with your pride. How I learned to keep my emotions in check at the table: 20 minutes before I sat at the 3/6 full kill HE table they hit the bad beat jackpot for $15K. Guy that took the beat got $9K and proceeded to get DRUNK. Raised and reraised every pot every street...
  • Re: Loose Low Limit Game

Thanks for the response PP, and Dustin "No one is scared of a check" Wow youve opened my eyes to a whole new world of strategy! I definitly need to loosen up pre flop though I lost a rack in 1 hour yesterday, not being able to clear the field with my high pairs and losing to 2 pair or someone...

  • Re: Live game and online poker.. Which one is better?

Wow old thread back up top.... I wrote this, 'I prefer UltimateBet over all online sites. Just my opinion though;)' Yuck! I posted that?!?!?! Since my last response to this thread my opinions on UltimateBet have changed drastically as I truly believe that there is something wrong w/ their RNG...

  • Interesting Statistical Analysis

I have been using pokertracker for the last week and a half and have found it very useful. I just thought I would share some of the interesting conclusions I have seen from the software. I have found several leaks in my game, such as playing KT too aggressively, and some others. Although I have only...
  • Re: Need a pep talk.

I've been playing online since January and I can feel your pain. I usually play .50/$1 so it's a little different. I oscillated for quite a while then caught a really bad run of cards and went full tilt after getting AA cracked back to back. Being smart, I decided to move up to 1/2 (Because the...

  • Re: Limit - VRS - No Limit

Yes, tight is right in NLHE. But you can't just play AA,KK and expect to win. You have to size up your opponents and play accordingly. The uberaggressive fish play any crud and usually one or two get lucky and stack up early. Its best to play tight, but then try and isolate them and play heads up...

  • Opinion on this hand please.......

Hi...I just found this board - added it's link to my blog ( www.kebzweb.com ). Anyway - I had had the following situation during a pretty unspectacular session online at Poker Stars - definately not playing my 'A' game and this hand came up. I think I botched how I played it. .50/1 Limit...

  • Inside Straight Draw - correct?

Last night I was playing 10-20 (PartyPoker) when the following hand came up. I was BB, the UTG player raised, BUTTON called, SB blind. I had 6 7 off. I decided to call. The flop came 3 4 9 with possible flush draw. UTG bet, BUTTON called, SB called, I called. The turn was the 5, no flush possible, giving...

  • Is this POker?

Woo-Hoo, it is Mardi Gras down in cajun country! Come on down. Have a BUD LIGHT on me. Well, not on me unless your kink bends in that direction. Anyway, step right through this door to the poker. All kinks shall be given proper consideration later. So....I'm working the graveyard shift at work which...
