  • Re: Nuts flush draw. Check, call or raise ?

I would most likely just call instead of raise. By raising you aren't going to get a free card on the turn if it doesn't hit as easily because there are so many players. But more so, by just calling, if it does hit, you are hoping the same player bets because then you can get callers in between...

  • Re: Medium PP in LP

So much depends on the limit and if you have any info on the player raising. If I'm grinding low limit, playing 4 tables of 2-4 or 3-6, and against one raiser that I don't know to be particularly fishy or surprisingly decent, I will usually put in a 3rd bet with JJ and TT; 99 88 and 77 I'll...

  • Re: Kids, don't try this at home.

I think subconciously I knew I was beaten after he reraised the 1st time but it may have took a few more bets before my concious self stopped raising. Probly put 120-140 in on the river. Fold K,J when you flop 2 pair and river a boat!! Sage advice in retrospect, eh.

Hand 2: A loose passive 6-12 live game. BB, I'm dealt :4h: :7h: 1 raise and 4 callers. Ok, I'll see it. 6 to see flop. Flop :5h: :th: :as: Hmmmm, lots of math fills my head. 1 bet and a raise. I call and there are 4 left. Turn :7c: Ok, I have more outs. 1 bet, 1 call, 1 fold and I find myself...

  • Some fun hands!

Well the internet connection is back at my lunch time break spot so I've been playing a little over my breaks again. Downside is some personal circumstances resulted in me withdrawing about as much of my BR as I could. It left me with about $19 and some change on one site. Well I played a $5/$1 yesterday...
  • Re: Loose Low Limit Game

[quote="Mully"] (I see how this would be the strategy in a no limit game , But I dont see how I could make this work in the limit games I play in, Where bluffing is not really an option due to the multi pots and if I was making a play on someone they arent paying enough attention to notice...

  • Re: Leading out UTG?

I would much rather limp with JQs. You want a lot of callers with JQs, you don't want to limit the field, you should be trying to attract as many players as possible, because this is a hand with high implied odds. Same thing with small-medium pocket pairs... you either want 0 or 1 player in the pot...

  • Re: 3/6 limit K/Qs and...

In a 6 handed game, it all depends! People bluff hibitually in these games, with absolutely nothing. So it depends on the player betting, the player behind you, etc... I think you should also consider raising... but only if you could get a free card on the turn from him if you dont hit. It is very likely...

  • Re: May anybody play it different ?

This happens pretty often to me on those 15/30 6handed tables on party. For instance last night I was playing and had AK and raised preflop I think from UTG. Flop came KJT. I bet and it got raised and then reraised behind me, I thought I was making a bad call, but called anyways. The turn was a blank...

  • Re: Playing Ax short handed

[2] Well...I was going to go back to this thread this a.m. and expound on my answers, but now I see it more difficult than I had thought. The best I can say is that..IN GENERAL this is what I would do in this situation,6 handed, against the players I normally face. 6 handed is a different beast altogether...
