  • Re: Nuts flush draw. Check, call or raise ?

Assuming this hand to be in a bubble, and you don't care about setting up future plays or table image, I raise that flop all the time. You're close to a 40% chance to win the whole pot, so every extra bet 4 people can put in on the flop is in your favor in the long-run. Playa makes a good point...

Pretty good stuff here guys. (The rest of this post has been either omitted or severely edited) WOW, I started to write a seemingly smooth flowing post about how I mostly agree, but then disagree with this and that, but then I went back and reread all your posts and realized how I am just way too hammered...

  • new record - 3 players go on tilt after this hand!!

The other night I was playing some 3-6 waiting for a satellite to fill up. I had been there about 45 minutes and was +60 already. Family pots are a wonderful thing. Onward, poker soldiers. I'm in the BB and I am dealt EP player, I'll call him the table pro, raises to $6. Table pro was young,...

  • Re: Hand simulation: 88 in MP....

I don't think so, sometimes short handed games can be a lot more aggressive and people cap it 'just for fun'. You might have been behind to maybe one person, but with 3 players, and aggressive action, you probably have implied odds to flop your set. Plus, if the board comes all small cards...

  • Golden Opportunity

Hey Gang, First off, let me say that I am not being a shill for this game. I think this game is a sucker game. But here it comes.... There was a new game that just showed up in our casino. Today was apparently the first night for the game. It's called Texas Hold'em Bonus by the Mikohn company...

    1) On the button, everyone folds to you, you have A5o ?? I alwayse raise - no exceptions. 2) You are on the button holding A5o with 1 or 2 callers in front of you ?? I never raise this hand in this position. Sometimes fold, more oftem - limp in. 3) You are under the gun holding A9s ?? I will raise this...

  • Nuts straight on turn.

That's the situation I verbally discussed with couple of my friends who are both decent poker players. We did not get to agreement so I post it here on the forum. Lets say you get a nuts straight on the turn - for example QJ on a board KT97 (no 3 of same suit), T9 on a board QJ85 (same regarding...
  • Re: Marginal hands on the button, more or less reason to limp?

6 HANDED -- RAISE. 10 HANDED -- LIMP If I am at a table that will allow me to limp with hands like this I will do it. Not every time but enough to make it profitable if I can hit to something. These hands are actually highly profitable because you tend to get more callers than when you hit holding a...

  • Re: 6 handed, SB, all fold to you, ever just call?

    1. The hand is not playable unless you can raise and there are not many hands I would raise in that position. 2. Yes all the time, of course if I have a big hand I raise. I love the free flop, they are rarely limping with big hands to trap, almost any flop checked to you can be bet and won. Raising with...
