• Re: Live game and online poker.. Which one is better?

Advantages of live poker: -Better ability to read opponents and pick up tells, obviously. Even in a 3-6 limit game, you quickly get an idea after sitting down who is the table maniac, rock, clueless fish, etc., and can adjust your game accordingly. -Social aspects of the game (very underrated). -Collecting...

  • Re: Getting killed on Paradise Poker ...

I play at Paradise, only because they took my credit card with no hassle. It seems very tough to win there, at all levels. There are a lot of good players there, and I don't see a lot of plain old fish. Except for me, maybe.

A subject that has been hashed a lot - best place to play. Depends on what you're looking for - good competition, fish, graphics, fast play, lots of players, reliability, etc. Check the thread "Online Poker is Rigged". I play Paradise, Party, and Poker Stars. Full Tilt is a popular one...

  • Re: Nuts!

I am seriously thinking of leaving UB because of the difficulty of getting hand histories. Stars is nuts because of those eyeballs. Considering I'm a novice and prefer to fish in ponds with more and smaller fish, is Stars the right way to go? Aren't the players at Stars generally better than...

  • Re: Interesting Statistical Analysis

Today I hit 6 month since a day I started to use PokerTracker. So far I have 26,000 ring games hands loaded into it. I did not load any tourney. I found it just terrific. Actually the best feature there (for me at least) is the rating of the opponents. I get 5,500 players in PokerTracker DB, 600 of which...

  • Re: Playing the cards or players?

You put this under the limit section on purpose? Because it's much easier to play 'your cards' in limit rather then NLHE... In NLHE more so then Limit I play the player, of course.... that's poker. It's a combination of both- but definately more player dependant. It's so much...

  • Re: May anybody play it different ?

Nih: you played it 100% correct! I'd of laid that hand down on the turn also- I'd put myself to be drawing to 4 outs, and think FOR SURE I was saving bets by folding on the turn. Like Doyle says in SuperSystem, don't be ashamed to once in awhile fold a winner.... all the top players do it...

  • May anybody play it different ?

I will describe the absolutely unique hand here, I would say the hand where my judgement turn to be totally wrong, just wondering if any of you guys would think differently. $15/30 6-handed on Party. 5 from average to good players and one fish on two spots at my right. I am on BB with . UTG raises, next...
  • Re: Playing Ax short handed

    1) On the button, everyone folds to you, you have A5o ?? I alwayse raise - no exceptions. 2) You are on the button holding A5o with 1 or 2 callers in front of you ?? I never raise this hand in this position. Sometimes fold, more oftem - limp in. 3) You are under the gun holding A9s ?? I will raise this...

  • Re: Losing at online low limit
There is not a doubt in my mind, the guy does NOT or CAN NOT play 3-6 online for a living. It isn't possible. People lie, especially about money and how much they make. Either that, or the guy plays for a living and lives in a van down by the river.
Well, depends...
